Usability Design is finally coming
Usability theories have strongly been under development for the past two decades. There's been released a lot of litterature about the subject and Universities have started to create own programs for educating Usability specialists. Still, Usability Design has not reached the industry in a way that it should had in order to provide User Interfaces that can be used by normal people - not just Engineers. However, it seems that Usability is finally starting to become one of the major milestones for the product design. Discussions within IT industry point that Usability issues are now to be taken seriously. User Interface plans are no more to be taken into project on their final stages but more and more right from the first requirements and definitions. More over, User Interfaces are no longer to be programmed directly from the scratch without serious planning. Instead, they are to be based on design from the actual Usability point of view having logical and easy to use User Interface as a result.
